Job summary

NetSPI is seeking an experienced penetration tester to join our team. You will perform external, internal, and wireless tests and deliver comprehensive reports to clients, collaborating to develop remediation strategies that enhance security postures.

You will also research innovative techniques, contribute to service development, and participate in thought leadership activities across blogs, webinars, and white papers. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Engineering/Math/IT or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3–5 years of penetration testing experience (network, web, or mobile).
  • Experience with offensive toolkits used for network and application pentesting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows administration.
  • Up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver penetration test reports to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to create remediation strategies to improve security posture.

We are seeking an experienced professional with demonstrated technical depth and breadth in Network Penetration Testing as well as the soft skills to effectively communicate with executive and technical teams. In this role, you'll have the ability to work alongside a world‑class team using top‑tier custom tools. Applicants are expected to leverage strong problem‑solving skills, as well as lead, collaborate, and innovate to deliver high‑quality exercises and exceptional experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform external, internal, and wireless network penetration tests
  • Create and deliver penetration test reports to clients
  • Collaborate with clients to create remediation strategies that will help improve their security posture
  • Research and develop innovative techniques, tools, and methodologies for penetration testing services
  • Participate in the ongoing development/enhancement of NetSPI services and processes, in addition to thought leadership (via blogs, presentations, white papers, webinars, podcast, vlogs and tweets)
  • Provide pre‑sales support by assisting with scoping prospective engagements
  • Act as a resource for internal team members as it relates to in‑depth technical questions or best practices
  • Responsible for QA activities in assigned service lines
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in penetration testing, including network, web or mobile application testing
  • Experience with offensive toolkits used for network and application penetration testing
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows administration
  • Up to 25% travel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Ruby, Python, Perl, C, C++, Java, and C#
  • GXPN, GPEN, OSCP, CISSP, GWAPT or similar certifications
