Job summary

State of MA (Department of IT) seeks a seasoned Security Architect to lead the BEST program security efforts on an 11-month contract in Boston. The role focuses on adopting a secure end‑user solution, defining access controls, and aligning with risk management teams and vendors.

The ideal candidate will drive security design, oversee incident response, and coordinate with EOTSS, Workday, and SI partners to ensure compliance with state policies while delivering a reliable HR/payroll platform

Qualifications

• Design and implement security architecture for complex programs.
• Develop and enforce information security policies and standards.
• Lead risk and compliance activities across vendors and systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Infrastructure, Application Security, and User Authentication security components.
• Coordinate with EOTSS, Workday SSO, and vendor teams to ensure secure onboarding and access controls.
• Monitor security SLAs, perform risk assessments, and document incident response procedures.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and compliance audits.
