Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Security Engineer to own security architecture for major platforms, drive security initiatives from design to implementation, and apply enterprise AI capabilities to strengthen defenses across multiple domains.

As part of the Cybersecurity, Technology and Controls group, you will mentor engineers, conduct threat modeling and risk assessments, and collaborate with engineering, product, risk, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied security engineering experience.
• Designing and implementing enterprise security solutions.
• Experience with AI-assisted security workflows and data sensitivity.
• Ability to validate AI-generated security recommendations.
• Strong coding skills in at least one language.
• Deep knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, and software development processes.
• Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own security architecture and technical strategy for major platforms, products, or security domains, including cryptography, cloud security, identity, and confidential computing.
• Lead complex security engineering initiatives from design through implementation, influencing multiple teams across the firm.
• Drive threat modeling, risk assessment, and security reviews to ensure solutions meet security and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a senior technical authority and mentor, guiding engineers and representing Security Engineering in architecture and governance forums.
• Partner across engineering, product, risk, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions and influence enterprise security direction.
• Lead AI-focused initiatives within the team, applying emerging technologies to advance security capabilities.
• Facilitate security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi-level security environments.
• Apply enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate security risk analysis and documentation, including synthesizing threat assessments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability.
• Triage and manage resources based on risk assessments of various threats to cover the impact of disruptive events.
• Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within the software development lifecycle and toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation.
