Job summary

VirtuSense Technologies is seeking a Senior Security Architect to define and drive security architecture across our AWS, on‑prem, networks, and third‑party integrations. This is a senior, strategic role guiding enterprise security patterns and hands‑on reviews when needed.

While AWS features prominently, you will also shape identity, network, data protection, and zero trust across the estate, collaborating with DevOps and platform teams to embed security by design.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering or architecture roles.
• Strong hands‑on background in at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Deep understanding of identity and access architecture: SSO/federation, RBAC/ABAC, PAM, zero trust.
• Solid grounding in network security architecture: segmentation, secure connectivity, perimeter and zero‑trust.
• Experience with application security architecture: secure SDLC, API security, and data protection.
• Track record of leading security architecture reviews and influencing engineering decisions.
• Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO27001 or similar audit programs.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain our enterprise security architecture: reference architectures, security design patterns, and standards.
• Lead security architecture reviews for new systems, major features, and third‑party integrations.
• Design identity and access architecture across cloud and on‑prem systems, including SSO and zero trust.
• Own network security architecture: segmentation strategy, perimeter design, secure connectivity.
• Guide application security architecture: secure SDLC patterns, API security, data protection.
• Partner with cloud, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure cloud security posture aligns with enterprise architecture.
• Evaluate and select security tooling and platforms with a holistic view.
• Serve as senior technical stakeholder for SOC 2 Type II audits and provide control evidence.
• Assess and prioritize enterprise security risk and present roadmaps to leadership.
• Mentor security engineers and act as escalation point for complex design questions.
• Lead AWS cloud, application, API, container, and serverless security architecture with IAM, encryption, logging.
• Embed security into CI/CD and IaC through automated scanning and policy enforcement.
• Provide hands‑on validation of critical security controls using AWS services, Terraform, Python.
