Job summary

Hitachi Vantara Corporation is seeking a senior Cybersecurity Presales Engineer to lead discovery workshops, translate business needs into security architectures, and deliver executive-ready recommendations. You will collaborate with sales, delivery, and security teams to shape proposals and roadmaps across cloud, identity, data, and AI security domains.

The role requires deep cybersecurity expertise, strong communication with executive stakeholders, and experience guiding complex security

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity-related roles (presales, architecture, or advisory).
• Broad expertise across cloud security, identity and access management, network security, endpoint protection, application security, data security, security operations, governance, risk, and compliance.
• Proven experience leading customer engagements and presenting to technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery workshops to understand objectives, security challenges, risk priorities, and gaps, translating findings into actionable security strategies.
• Design end-to-end cybersecurity architectures, roadmaps, proposals, and executive-level recommendations across multiple domains.
• Partner with sales, delivery, and business teams to qualify opportunities, develop SOWs, create effort estimates, and guide implementation.
• Advise customers on securing AI-enabled environments, including governance and data protection strategies.

Meet Our Team:

• Join a highly collaborative cybersecurity consulting and presales practice that partners with enterprise customers to solve complex security, risk, and digital transformation challenges.
• Work alongside security architects, consultants, sales leaders, and delivery teams to build innovative security solutions across cloud, identity, network, endpoint, data, application, security operations, and AI security domains.
• Help shape the growth of our cybersecurity practice by developing reusable assets, solution offerings, reference architectures, and go-to-market capabilities.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead customer discovery workshops to understand business objectives, security challenges, risk priorities, and technology gaps, translating findings into actionable security strategies.
• Design and present end-to-end cybersecurity architectures, roadmaps, proposals, and executive-level solution recommendations across multiple security domains and technologies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by conducting security assessments, recommending remediation strategies, and aligning security investments with organizational goals.
• Partner with sales, business, and delivery teams to qualify opportunities, develop Statements of Work (SOWs), create effort estimates, support proposal development, and guide successful solution implementation.
• Advise customers on securing AI-enabled environments, including LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, governance, monitoring, identity controls, and data protection strategies.

What you'll bring to the team:

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with a strong background in presales engineering, solution architecture, security consulting, or technical advisory roles.
• Broad expertise across cloud security, identity and access management, network security, endpoint protection, application security, data security, security operations, governance, risk, and compliance.
• Proven experience leading customer engagements, facilitating technical discovery sessions, conducting security assessments, and presenting to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Strong ability to develop solution architectures, proposals, business cases, security roadmaps, and customer-facing presentations while balancing risk, cost, scalability, and business value.
• Working knowledge of AI security principles, including secure AI design, threat modeling, governance frameworks, operational controls, and data protection for AI-enabled solutions.
