Job summary

Pepperdine University seeks a Senior IT Security Analyst to support the Information Security Office. You will work with the Director and Security Operations Manager to implement security controls, monitor networks, and analyze incidents to protect student data and university assets.

Responsibilities include configuring and updating security tools, conducting vulnerability assessments, and reporting on security effectiveness.

Qualifications

• SANS 503 or equivalent certification required.
• 3 years IT or Information Security experience required.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, ACLs, and packet analysis preferred.
• Windows systems installation and management experience.
• Perl, Unix command line, and PowerShell familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain configurations and updates for firewall, IDS, NAC, DHCP, DNS and other security systems; document changes and ensure security policy compliance.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and incident handling procedures.
• Develop and monitor security controls; perform vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, and log analysis; improve incident handling procedures.
