Job summary

TriCom Technical Services seeks a Sr. Security Analyst to protect systems and data from threats. You will monitor security activity, investigate incidents, and strengthen security controls while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires analyzing threats, performing vulnerability testing, and developing security policies. Strong communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of security certifications, training, and experience.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across teams.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Security certification such as CySA+, SSCP, or a similar intermediate-level certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and analyze potential threats and suspicious activity.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security testing.
• Recommend and implement security controls to reduce risk.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide security guidance to technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
• Evaluate new security tools and technologies.
• Prepare security reports, metrics, and findings for leadership.
• Coordinate security activities with external partners and vendors.
