Job summary

VTG in Herndon, VA, seeks a Senior Software Developer with a focus on secure software engineering to join an agile, cross-functional team. You will design and deploy secure Windows apps and services using .NET, C#, WPF/XAML, C++, ASP.NET Web API, HTML/CSS, Python and PowerShell, with IIS integration.

Responsibilities include developing automation scripts, managing AWS/Azure deployments with security in mind, and collaborating with teams using GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph is required.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with .NET (C#, WPF/XAML, C++), Web (ASP.NET MVC Web API, HTML/CSS), Python and PowerShell.
• Experience developing Windows Applications, Windows Services, and Web Services on IIS.
• Experience with AWS and Azure; GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure Windows applications, services, and web services using .NET, ASP.NET, HTML/CSS, Python, and PowerShell.
• Develop and automate PowerShell scripts for administration and security tasks.
• Manage cloud-based solutions on AWS and Azure with secure deployment and access controls.
• Utilize GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, and Confluence for version control, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Integrate Secure Token Service (STS) and DataHound into applications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver features iteratively.
• Create and maintain design docs, security plans, and test reports.
