Job description

Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world. A career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference and invest in your growth in a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment.

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position is intended for the new Cloud and Power focused U.S. public company that will be established through the upcoming spin-off of the existing Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment of Flex Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to join during the company's formative stage and help shape the processes, culture, and capabilities that will support its long-term success. This position is based in Austin, Texas.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Compile and analyze financial and nonfinancial information used in SEC filings and coordinate with finance, accounting, legal, and other business partners to ensure disclosures are complete and accurate.
  • Perform research on new and proposed SEC and FASB accounting and disclosure requirements, document conclusions, and assist with updating disclosures and accounting policies.
  • Coordinate directly with internal and external auditors and prepare supporting documentation for SEC reporting and related audit requirements.
  • Support SOX compliance over SEC reporting, including the preparation of control documentation, disclosure checklists, and variance analyses related to the monthly and quarterly close.
  • Assist with accounting and disclosure matters involving equity, stock-based compensation, earnings per share, goodwill, acquisitions, and other complex or nonroutine transactions.
  • Support special projects and process improvements related to external reporting and broader corporate accounting activities.
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
  • BA/BS in Accounting (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial reporting/accounting role, including SEC reporting, at a public company or a public accounting firm.
  • CPA license is preferred.
  • Experience with OneStream and Workiva is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and 10-Q/10-K filing mechanics
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent cross team communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, tax, and audit teams.
