Job summary

Corelight, Inc. is seeking a Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to architect automation frameworks and validate network security apps. You will build scalable test infra, implement IaC across AWS/Azure/GCP, and write security-focused integration tests for Zeek, Suricata, and YARA.

You will automate deployment of Snort/Sigma rules, analyze TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS traffic, and drive CI/CD in Git for reliable, production-grade testing.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in an SDET or heavy automation role.
• Proficient in Python and Bash for framework development.
• Hands-on with major cloud providers and IaC tools (AWS/Azure/GCP, Ansible, Terraform).
• Solid Linux administration in RHEL/Ubuntu.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS, Kerberos, SMB.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalentexperience.

Responsibilities

• Architect automation frameworks: design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Python and Bash.
• Build infrastructure as code across cloud platforms using Ansible and Terraform.
• Validate security logic with integration tests for Zeek, Suricata, and YARA.
• Automate deployment of test artifacts including Snort and Sigma rule sets.
• Analyze network traffic to design realistic test scenarios mirroring production constraints.
• Integrate CI/CD by managing test code and environments in Git.
