Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking an experienced SDET Engineer to drive automated testing across CLI, UI, API, and integration layers. You will design scalable Python frameworks, implement BDD with Robot Framework, and collaborate with product, analysts, and developers to ensure high-quality software across Linux and Windows environments.

You will participate in agile planning, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and help raise quality standards through modern testing tools and practices

Qualifications

• Experienced level in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
• Strong programming expertise in Python with experience developing reusable automation frameworks.
• Experience implementing BDD using Robot Framework and Gherkin/Cucumber.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with source code management tools (GitLab, Bitbucket, Git).
• Experience with TestRail or similar test management platforms.
• Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience testing on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Expertise in cloud-native technologies (AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a global context.
• Proficiency in Networking, TCP/IP

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test solutions and frameworks using Python.
• Build and implement automated tests for CLI, UI, API, integration, and end-to-end validation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Developers to design effective test strategies.
• Drive Quality Engineering methodologies across the SDLC.
• Participate in test planning, design, estimation, execution, and release activities.
• Implement functional, integration, and regression testing across Linux and Windows.
• Identify, document, and manage defects with root-cause analysis.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Perform API testing and data validation for reliability and accuracy.
• Work with globally distributed teams across time zones.
• Use test management tools for execution, traceability, reporting, and metrics.
• Support and lead continuous improvement with modern testing tools and practices.
