Job summary

Astar Foundation is building StartaleApp, a cutting-edge Web3 platform integrating blockchain, DeFi, and frontend/back-end services. The Senior SDET will design and implement testing architectures, automation frameworks, and AI-powered quality systems enabling rapid, reliable software releases.

The role focuses on automated testing across contracts, APIs, and distributed systems, with emphasis on performance, reliability, and real-world Web3 flows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SDET, QA engineering, or related roles.
• Strong software engineering skills with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience designing testing architectures for complex distributed systems.
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks and libraries from scratch.
• Strong experience with Playwright or Cypress for end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing APIs (REST, GraphQL, WebSocket, etc.).
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerized testing environments.
• Ability to design testing strategies for API, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of observability and production debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the quality engineering platform across frontend, backend, and blockchain interactions.
• Create AI-assisted testing workflows and leverage LLMs for test generation and failure analysis.
• Develop automated test suites for APIs, services, and Web3 user flows.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD with fast feedback and quality gates.
• Improve developer experience around testing and reliability.
