Job summary

Amazon SageMaker AI is a fully managed ML service that simplifies building, training, and deploying models. We are seeking a Senior SDE to own design and delivery of large-scale distributed systems powering end-to-end ML development within SageMaker.

You will lead technical vision, influence product direction, and raise the engineering bar while collaborating across teams to deliver scalable, customer-obsessed solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex software systems.
• Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale distributed services with high availability and low latency.
• Collaborate with product, science, and partner engineering teams to define roadmaps and deliver customer-obsessed solutions.
• Mentor engineers across levels, conduct design and code reviews, raise the technical and operational bar.
• Champion CI/CD, observability, testing, and incident management; drive ownership and accountability.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve the developer experience.
