Job summary

The Senior Scientist will lead construct design and vector development, guiding junior scientists and collaborating across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• PhD-level expertise with 5+ years industrial research or a Master’s with 8+ years and demonstrated leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of plant biology, physiology and genetics, particularly corn and/or soy.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Experience applying omics technologies and gene expression principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop molecular cloning strategies and deliver vectors for GM, GE, and trait development pipelines.
• Lead high-throughput cloning platforms and automation workflows to accelerate research.
• Drive adoption of automation, digital tools, and data-driven solutions to improve throughput and quality.
• Collaborate with trait, gene expression, genome editing, bioinformatics, and project teams to design constructs.
• Mentor junior scientists and promote standardized methods and best practices.
• Maintain high-quality records, perform sequence analysis, and contribute to data management systems.
