Job summary

AllSTEM Connections seeks a Senior Scientist in Molecular Interactions for a six-month contract in South San Francisco, CA. The scientist will support active biologics discovery programs with hands-on experiments and data analysis on binding, kinetics, epitopes, and developability.

The role requires a PhD or Master’s with significant hands-on experience, strong data interpretation skills, and collaboration across antibody discovery and computational biology teams.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree with 5+ years hands-on experience or PhD with 3+ years hands-on experience.
• Strong foundation in biomolecular interactions and protein characterization.
• Hands-on experience with interaction analysis platforms (SPR, Carterra, Biacore, BLI, KinExA).
• Experience analyzing kinetic and affinity data for protein interactions.
• Ability to troubleshoot experiments and deliver timely, high-quality results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret molecular interaction studies to support hit identification and lead optimization.
• Generate and analyze binding affinity, kinetics, avidity, epitope binning and developability data for antibodies and biologics.
• Coordinate with project teams to define assay plans and deliver results on program timelines.
• Document methods and results in reports and summaries; communicate risks and recommendations clearly.
• Operate and optimize interaction analysis workflows to improve throughput and data quality.
