Job summary

FUJIFILM Biosciences is hiring a Sr Scientist II to drive new product development, technical support, and process development. The role focuses on mammalian cell culture bioreactors and scale-up, with leadership across R&D teams and external collaborations.

You will mentor scientists, manage complex projects, and develop strategies for applications in Bioproduction, Gene Therapy, and Cell Therapy markets. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in a science, bioscience, engineering or bioengineering field.
• B.S. with >12 years of relevant work experience or M.S. with >10 years or Ph.D. with >4 years of relevant experience.
• Effective communication with external and internal customers; ability to build relationships.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on lab presence to perform experiments and mentor scientists.
• Manage timelines for multiple projects and prioritize work.
• Communicate progress to management and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare reports and presentations for group meetings.
• Develop strategies for bioreactor scale-up and novel product applications.
• Troubleshoot equipment and invent new methods; lead Bioreactor Scale-up team.
