NVIDIA seeks an outstanding Research Scientist or Research Engineer to advance synthetic data generation and its application to training autonomous driving models. Join the Physical AI Platform Research team to push the boundaries of AI, simulation, and autonomy.

You will translate research into scalable, production-ready solutions with a strong publication record, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver impact in secure self-driving technology.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field (or equivalent).
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in deep learning, AI, computer vision, ML, simulation, or autonomous systems.
• Strong publication record in leading AI and CV venues and experience translating research into real-world systems.
• Expert-level Python programming and experience building scalable ML systems in large codebases.

Responsibilities

• Research, prototype, and develop new techniques using synthetic data, generative world models, and simulation for next-gen autonomous driving systems.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to translate AI advances into scalable technologies.
• Define the research direction and roadmap to advance safe, robust autonomous driving capabilities.
