Job summary

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is seeking a Pharmaceutical Development Lead Scientist II to serve as the technical lead for formulation and process design of oral solid dosage forms. You will participate in clinical trial manufacturing and ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements, working onsite in Kansas City, MO, 8am-5pm.

Ideal candidates hold advanced degrees and have extensive experience, with demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related life science or physical science with 13+ years of related work experience.
• Master’s or Doctorate with corresponding years of experience preferred and strong SME capability.
• Ability to interpret data, understand regulatory guidance, CMC filing elements, and supporting documentation.
• Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities with ability to mentor subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute laboratory work plans and schedules for self and junior team members.
• Review technical documents for accuracy, thoroughness, and regulatory compliance.
• Train, coach, mentor, and supervise technical staff, including work assignments and performance management.
• Serve as the project technical lead on one or more projects with customer interaction.
• Lead intermediate-complexity projects within the department utilizing comprehensive knowledge.
• Design experiments, processes, and formulations that contribute to group objectives.
• Develop and execute efficiency improvement projects and identify project-specific opportunities.
• Participate in client, team, and ad hoc meetings with no supervision.
