Job summary

Clorox is seeking a Senior Scientist for the Brita R&D Product Development team in Pleasanton, CA. You will lead filtration product development, coordinate with marketing, manufacturing, and suppliers, and translate consumer needs into robust product and process solutions.

This role requires deep technical depth in water filtration, strong leadership, and the ability to drive complex initiatives from concept through commercialization while partnering across global teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of R&D, product development, or related technical experience.
• Experience leading undefined, complex technical work and bringing clarity to ambiguity.
• Knowledge of drinking water standards and certification pathways preferred (EPA/NSF).

Responsibilities

• Own filtration product development and scale-up from concept to production.
• Lead complex technical programs and drive decisions that advance Brita priorities.
• Lead cross-functional technical decisions across Marketing, Insights, Design, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory and manufacturing.
• Drive external partner and manufacturing excellence with suppliers and plants.
• Elevate best practices, training, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Champion digital, data, and AI-enabled R&D to improve speed and quality.
