Job summary

Merck seeks a Sr. Scientist/Engineer for the Center for Packaging & Device Analytics (CPDA) at West Point, PA, focusing on container closure integrity analytics for packaging and device programs in late-stage development and manufacturing support.

As an individual contributor, you will perform method development, validation, transfers, and troubleshooting, collaborating across engineering, analytical, and manufacturing teams to advance CCI capabilities and deliver robust packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or related physical science.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pharma/biotech/medical device industries or PhD.
• Strong problem solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Characterize new package or device components to inform selection or optimization.
• CCI method development, validation, and troubleshooting for packaging and/or medical device products.
• Method transfers and lifecycle support for CCI analytics.
• Provide in-depth technical support to resolve packaging and device CCI analytical and manufacturing investigations.
• Grow CCI analytical technologies/capabilities within the CPDA.
