Merck's Center for Packaging & Device Analytics in West Point, PA seeks a Senior Scientist/Engineer to contribute to CCI analytical work for packaging and medical device products, in late-stage development and global manufacturing support.

You will perform method development, validation, technology transfers, and cross-functional collaboration with emphasis on problem solving and long-term technology growth.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharma, biotech or medical device industries or PhD.
• Familiarity with CCI testing in industrial or academic contexts.
• Proficiency in CCI technologies and method development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Characterization of new package or device components to inform selection or optimization.
• CCI method development, validation and troubleshooting.
• Method transfers and lifecycle support.
• Technical support to resolve packaging and device CCI investigations.
• Grow CCI analytical technologies within CPDA.
