Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Process Development Senior Scientist to join our Biologics Drug Product Technologies group in Thousand Oaks. You will lead early-stage formulation development, focusing on monoclonal antibodies and other biologics, and drive scalable fill/finish processes with an emphasis on automation and high-throughput screening.

The role requires deep expertise in HTS formulation, DoE, data analysis, and collaboration across PD, regulatory, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/PharmD or equivalent with 3+ years of scientific experience.
• Experience in formulation development, stability testing, and fill/finish operations for biologics.
• Strong understanding of DoE, HTS, automation, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation and fill/finish studies for early-stage programs.
• Develop and optimize biologics formulations for liquid and lyophilized products.
• Collaborate across PD, research, regulatory, and manufacturing teams.
• Implement automated workflows to accelerate screening and data capture.
• Generate regulatory-ready documents and tech transfer packages.
• Present findings to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
