Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a Sr. Special Security Technician to support a Federal Government client at MacDill AFB, FL. The role focuses on safeguarding SCI, managing SCIF operations, and certifying visitor clearances in line with DIA and DoD requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an active TS/SCI clearance (with CI Poly if needed), extensive experience in security programs, and a proven ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced federal environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience related to Physical and Information Security.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain CI Poly if needed.
• Experience in security education and training and in managing SCI materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage SCI operations to safeguard SCI and ensure SCI program compliance.
• Oversee SCI security program for SCIFs within the organization’s cognizance.
• Certify and receive SCI visitor clearances; manage nominations and access validations.
• Maintain Defense Information System for Security (DISS) records and physical, information, and technical security measures.
• Conduct daily security checks, respond to alarms, and escort un-cleared personnel as required.
• Prepare for official security inspections and audits; manage safes, vaults, and secure doors.
