Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Senior Special Programs Security Manager to lead SCI and SAP security operations across the program lifecycle. Based in SF or DC, you will serve as CSSO/CPSO for government customers, shaping security foundations and relationships across teams.

The role requires active Top Secret eligibility, SCI access, and ability to obtain required polygraphs. You will mentor staff, build processes, and ensure compliant paths for classified work.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading contractor security for SCI and SAP programs.
• Experience serving as CSSO/CPSO/CSPSO/SSO or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of government security requirements and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCI and SAP security operations across the program lifecycle, including access administration and inspections.
• Serve as the designated CSSO/CPSO for assigned government customers and classified programs.
• Build trusted relationships with Intelligence Community and DoD stakeholders.
• Oversee accreditation and operation of SCIFs and SAPFs and ensure readiness.
