Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Scheduler to join our planning and scheduling team onsite in the Trenton, NJ area. You will work on data center projects, supporting project managers with detailed schedules and risk assessments.

The role offers growth potential as our scheduling team expands. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of project scheduling experience, a BS in Construction Management or Engineering, and certifications such as PSP, PMP, or similar.

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing and maintaining project risk assessments (qualitative & quantitative).
  • Knowledge of 4D/5D modeling and forensic scheduling analysis on construction/engineering projects.
  • Ability to perform cost analyses and schedule benchmarking.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with quality project schedules at appropriate levels of detail for proposed and ongoing projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules; monitor critical paths and report progress.
  • Lead project managers, designers and contractors on monthly project progress and risk management activities.
  • Develop risk management plans and perform forensic scheduling analyses as required.

We are currently looking for a Senior Scheduler to join our team onsite in the Trenton, NJ area. In this role, you will be working on a variety of data center projects. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a role with growth potential as we continue to grow our scheduling team!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers with quality project schedules at appropriate levels of detail for proposed and on-going projects.
  • Develop, monitor, status and resolve negative impacts to schedule critical paths.
  • Provide guidance on design issues, client concerns and code issues.
  • Lead project managers, design and contractors on monthly project progress of work.
  • Develop and maintain project risk assessments, qualitative and quantitative.
  • Develop and maintain 4D, 5D modeling.
  • Manage the development of critical monthly progress reports.
  • Participate in design verifications and construction site walks.
  • Support efforts to collect, integrate and report key project data.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.
  • Perform forensic scheduling analysis.
  • Overview clients' schedules for as-planned schedule validation, labor productivity, critical path delay and acceleration.
  • Development of risk management plan, using crystal ball, PRA.
  • Manage resource and cost loading of schedules.
  • Contributes to and monitors scope control, change management and associated implications to project cost and scheduling, escalating when appropriate.
  • Provides mentorship to Scheduler I & Scheduler II Team Members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance at work during normal business hours.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developing and maintaining project risk assessments (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Knowledge of 4D/5D modeling.
  • Experience with forensic scheduling analysis of construction or engineering projects independently.
  • Experience with estimate validation and adjustments and comparative cost analyses.
  • Knowledge of Pre- and Post-Construction cost audits and valuations.
  • Experience performing detailed cost and schedule analyses.
  • Knowledge of project document control.
  • ability to provide forensic scheduling analysis of construction or engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-level logic driven schedules.
  • Utilize effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Understand how your role contributes to the organization’s goals.

Preferred Education And Experience
  • Education: BS in Construction Management or Engineering
  • Experience: 5-7 years exp in project scheduling
  • Experience working on data center projects is preferred
  • Preferred Certification: PSP, PMP, CPE, CEP, CCP, CMIT or MRICS

The salary range for this full-time role is $120,200.00-$160,266.69 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
