Valar Atomics is seeking a Senior Scheduler to build and maintain schedules spanning manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and programs. Translate requirements into actionable plans, track progress, and manage risks to keep critical activities on track.

The Team
The Construction and Infrastructure organization delivers the facilities, infrastructure, and construction projects required to support Valar’s mission. The team manages planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects while ensuring quality, safety, and operational readiness.
The Role
Valar Atomics is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to develop, maintain, and coordinate schedules across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and program activities. The Scheduler will be responsible for translating project and production requirements into actionable schedules, tracking progress, identifying constraints and risks, and working cross-functionally to keep critical activities on schedule.
The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of experience in production scheduling, project scheduling, manufacturing planning, or project controls and is comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-mix manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed production, manufacturing, and project schedules.
Coordinate schedules across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, and Operations.
Establish activity sequences, dependencies, milestones, durations, and resource requirements.
Track actual progress against baseline schedules and identify schedule variances.
Monitor critical-path activities and proactively identify potential delays and constraints.
Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to understand capacity, labor, equipment, material, and technical constraints.
Develop short-term look-ahead schedules and longer-term production plans.
Coordinate material availability and supplier commitments with the production schedule.
Identify schedule conflicts and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation and recovery plans.
Maintain accurate schedule data and provide regular status updates to project and functional leadership.
Support production planning for prototype, development, and production hardware.
Incorporate engineering changes, procurement status, manufacturing readiness, and quality requirements into schedules.
Participate in cross-functional planning and production meetings.
Develop schedule reports, dashboards, forecasts, and performance metrics for leadership.
Support what-if analysis and scenario planning to evaluate schedule impacts.
Maintain schedule integrity and ensure changes are properly documented and communicated.
Help establish scalable scheduling processes and standards as the organization grows.
Identify opportunities to improve planning, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination processes.
Basic Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in scheduling, production planning, project controls, manufacturing planning, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
Strong understanding of scheduling concepts, dependencies, critical paths, milestones, and schedule forecasting.
Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, energy, industrial, or other complex technical environment.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and scheduling/planning tools.
Ability to analyze large amounts of information and translate it into clear schedules and actionable priorities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, manufacturing personnel, supply chain teams, and leadership.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar scheduling platforms.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
Experience scheduling complex assemblies, hardware, or engineered products.
Knowledge of capacity planning, material requirements, and resource-loaded scheduling.
Experience with critical-path analysis and schedule recovery planning.
Experience working with engineering change orders and configuration-controlled products.
Experience in aerospace, nuclear, energy, defense, advanced manufacturing, or another highly regulated technical environment.
PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or other relevant certification is a plus.
