Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to join our Fort Wayne, IN team, supporting major data center construction projects. This role emphasizes Primavera P6 proficiency, risk assessment, and 4D/5D modeling to deliver reliable schedules in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor junior schedulers, participate in design verifications and site walks, and collaborate with project managers, designers, and contractors to ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 5–7 years of project scheduling experience.
• Experience on data center projects preferred.
• Certifications PSP, PMP, CPE, CEP, CCP, CMIT or MRICS preferred.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with high-quality project schedules at appropriate detail levels.
• Develop, monitor, and resolve negative impacts to the schedule critical path.
• Lead project managers, design teams and contractors on monthly progress of work.
• Develop and maintain project risk assessments (qualitative and quantitative).
• Develop and maintain 4D and 5D models and construction schedules.
• Provide forensic scheduling analysis and schedule validation for as-planned performance.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN, supporting high-profile data center construction projects across the region. This role is ideal for a scheduling professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment and brings deep expertise in Primavera P6 and data center project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with quality project schedules at appropriate levels of detail for proposed and on-going projects.
• Develop, monitor, status and resolve negative impacts to schedule critical paths.
• Provide guidance on design issues, client concerns and code issues.
• Lead project managers, design and contractors on monthly project progress of work.
• Develop and maintain project risk assessments, qualitative and quantitative.
• Develop and maintain 4D, 5D modeling.
• Manage the development of critical monthly progress reports.
• Participate in design verifications and construction site walks.
• Support efforts to collect, integrate and report key project data.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.
• Perform forensic scheduling analysis.
• Overview clients’ schedules for as-planned schedule validation, labor productivity, critical path delay and acceleration.
• Development of risk management plan, using crystal ball, PRA.
• Manage resource and cost loading of schedules.
• Contributes to and monitors scope control, change management and associated implications to project cost and scheduling, escalating when appropriate.
• Provides mentorship to Scheduler I & Scheduler II Team Members.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Knowledge & Skills Required

• Demonstrated knowledge of developing and maintaining project risk assessments (qualitative and quantitative).
• Knowledge of 4D/5D modeling.
• Experience with forensic scheduling analysis of construction or engineering projects independently.
• Experience with estimate validation and adjustments and comparative cost analyses.
• Knowledge of Pre- and Post-Construction cost audits and valuations.
• Experience performing detailed cost and schedule analyses.
• Knowledge of project document control.
• Ability to provide forensic scheduling analysis of construction or engineering projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop high-level logic driven schedules.
• Utilize effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

Education: BS in Construction Management or Engineering Experience: 5-7 years exp in project scheduling or as a Project Engineer

Salary

The salary range for this full-time role is $145,000.00-$190,000.00 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.

The salary range for this full-time role is $104,600.00-$139,466.68 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
