Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Control Engineer for on-site work in Manassas, VA to support EPMS/SCADA, PLCs and power systems integration. You will configure devices, troubleshoot communications, and assist in commissioning and testing across BMS/EPMS/SCADA platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, wiring, testing, and documentation with a focus on reliability and safety in industrial environments. A strong background in Allen-Bradley and industrial protocols is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of EPMS, BMS, Industrial instrumentation and/or SCADA systems.
• Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of complex BMS, EPMS and SCADA systems with advanced configurable integrations.
• Perform basic TCP/IP configuration and configure communication devices.

Responsibilities

• Navigate through EPMS and SCADA applications for monitoring, trending, and data retrieval.
• Safely open, close, rack-in and rack-out of breakers for points monitoring.
• Understand PLC applications to load and update projects.
• Understand PLC applications to configure the communication parameters.
• Prepare and review simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets.
