The candidate will stay current on SBA changes, prepare process materials, and mentor junior staff as needed, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 5–6 years SBA experience preferred.
• 5–6 years loan closing / loan operations experience required.

Responsibilities

• Identify business entity types and collect the required legal documents.
• Review and analyze third‑party vendor documents related to loan collateral.
• Perform due diligence to satisfy loan approval conditions and customer identification requirements.
• Verify loan approvals at appropriate authority levels and coordinate with lenders, underwriters, customers, attorneys, and SBA as needed.
• Ensure due diligence and approval documentation is indexed in the system of record.
• Use loan documentation software to prepare legal agreements/contracts.
• Conduct post‑closing review of loan documents for accuracy and upload to system.
• Verify fees collected and loan proceeds disbursed per schedule.
• Coordinate with Loan Servicing for system input and maintenance.
