Job summary

Viasat is seeking a System Test Engineer to support the USMC Enterprise Services Contract, validating SATCOM and enterprise services in operational environments. You will work with systems engineering, development, and network operations teams to ensure performance and availability.

The role requires a BS in a STEM field, 5+ years in system test/verification, IP networking expertise, and active US security clearances.

Qualifications

BS in Systems/ Electrical/ Computer Engineering, CS or other STEM field.
5+ years in system test engineering, system integration or verification testing.
Strong IP networking knowledge and diagnostic tools (TCP/UDP, Wireshark, iperf).
US Citizenship required; active security clearances preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and work onsite or US-Remote.

Responsibilities

System Test Planning & Execution: create test plans, cases and procedures for integration, verification, regression and acceptance testing.
Integration & Verification: run manual and automated verification on hardware, SATCOM gear and virtual testbeds.
Defect Analysis & Troubleshooting: identify defects, perform root cause analysis with engineers.
Test Environment & Equipment Management: set up and maintain test environments and equipment.
Customer & Review Participation: participate in test reviews and demonstrations with stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting: document results, produce test reports and metrics per standards.
