Job summary

United Therapeutics seeks a senior SAP Financials Architect to develop and maintain a financial systems architecture. You will lead SAP modules, coordinate with consultants, and drive process improvements within a hybrid work model in Durham, NC or Silver Spring, MD.

The role requires 10+ years of SAP FI/CO experience, 4+ years supporting a live SAP environment, strong US GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication. You will translate business needs into robust technical solutions and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• 10+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience in the FI/CO area.
• 4+ years of supporting and maintaining a live SAP environment.
• Familiar with US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Prior experience in accounting or business process solutions/consulting.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and document effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed analysis of system requirements spanning multiple SAP modules and designs optimal solutions.
• Develops partnerships with stakeholders and manages project activities toward shared goals.
• Completes functional testing and documentation; improves processes including test automation.
• Reviews consultant and peer analysis to ensure alignment with system design.
• Unlocks value by architecting solutions addressing system and business process pain points.
• Ensures proper change management and controls; improves governance processes.
• Builds and maintains workstream priorities and roadmaps for robust platforms.
• Evaluates and improves system controls and workflows; proposes improvements.
• Partners with process owners to roadmap priorities and coordinate training.
• All other duties as required.
