Job summary

Smart4 Energy seeks an experienced SAP HANA ABAP Developer with a strong SCM focus to design, develop, and optimize SAP solutions across core SCM processes.

You will build HANA-optimized ABAP, CDS Views, and AMDP, collaborate with functional teams, and drive performance improvements while following SAP best practices. Hybrid role, in-office 3 days weekly at Allentown, PA or client locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or 8+ years of related experience in SAP/ABAP roles.
• Proficiency in ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA SQL scripting.
• Experience with OData, REST APIs, and integration with Fiori/UI5 apps.
• Solid understanding of SCM processes: procurement, order fulfilment, inventory, MRP.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP EWM/IBP is a plus.
• SAP Certification in ABAP or S/4HANA Development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RICEF objects (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms).

• Participate in design reviews, code walkthroughs, and unit testing.
• Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and project governance.

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA ABAP Developer with a strong background in Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules to support the design, development, and optimization of SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will work on enhancing core SCM processes through custom developments, HANA-based optimizations, and tight collaboration with business and functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom SAP applications using HANA-optimized ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, and Data
• Work closely with functional consultants to deliver SCM-focused solutions
• Design and implement custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects)
• Build and consume APIs for system integrations across supply chain processes
• Optimize performance for existing code using HANA techniques and tool
• Participate in solution design reviews, code walkthroughs, and unit testing
• Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and project governance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years or related experience OR 8+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong expertise in ABAP on HANA (CDS Views, AMDP, HANA SQL scripting)
• Experience with OData Services, REST APIs, and integration with Fiori/UI5apps.
• Proficient in traditional ABAP: ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancement Framework.
• Familiarity with SCM business processes: procurement, order fulfilment, inventory, MRP.
• Experience working in agile/Scrum environments and transport landscapes (CTS/
• TMS). Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.
• Knowledge of SAP EWM or IBP is a plus
• Understanding of SAP Event Mesh or SAP Integration Suite is beneficial.
• SAP Certification in ABAP or S/4HANA Development.
