Basistechnologies is seeking an experienced SAP architecture-focused professional to serve as the functional reference point for our SAP change platform. You will validate reference data, test features against real change scenarios, and translate SAP nuances for cross-functional teams.

You will collaborate with product and AI teams to ensure realistic outcomes, drawing on hands-on experience with real-world SAP changes and a track record of influencing architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX in real-world projects.
• Functional grounding in the SAP core and ability to reason beyond it.
• Career trajectory from functional delivery to architecture and system configuration.
• Substantial exposure to SAP changes in real-world scenarios (country rollouts, acquisitions, major redesigns).
• Ability to explain SAP clearly to non-SAP colleagues without jargon.
• Comfort with not knowing an answer immediately and knowing where to look.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional reference point for the architecture team across the core SAP process spine, from order to cash to financial close.
• Review and validate reference datasets used to evaluate AI outputs, ensuring accuracy and real-world relevance.
• Collaborate with product to pressure test features against SAP change scenarios and identify idealized assumptions.
• Translate SAP nuances for non-SAP colleagues, including the data science team, and explain why details matter.
• Contribute to architecture patterns, standards, and decision records where SAP knowledge is decisive.
• Bring customer reality into discussions by sharing experiences of what breaks and what is worked around after changes.
