Job summary

Pentair plc is seeking a Senior SAP Analyst for Global Trade Services (GTS) in the Golden Valley, MN area. You will partner with business stakeholders and SAP teams to analyze requirements, design robust GTS solutions, and lead end-to-end deployments within SAP S/4HANA.

The role involves hands-on configuration, testing, documentation, and ongoing optimization to support Pentair’s global water solutions strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IS,Business, Supply Chain, CS or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in related fields with 5+ years in GTS/SAP S/4HANA.
• 3 full SAP S/4HANA implementations with GTS involvement.
• Experience in Agile environments; familiarity with Jira/Azure/ Scrum/Kanban.
• Strong trade compliance knowledge and SAP module integrations.
• Experience writing functional specs and test scripts.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder skills.
• SAP certification in GTS/S/4HANA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to analyze requirements and design SAP GTS solutions.
• Lead GTS projects, perform fit-gap analyses, and drive process improvements.
• Configure, test, and maintain GTS in SAP S/4HANA.

We have an opportunity for a Senior SAP Analyst – Global Trade Services (GTS). You will report to the Global Process Owner – Business Compliance and serve as a subject matter expert for the Global Trade Services workstream. You will lead and support implementation projects, conduct GAP analyses, and provide ongoing project support, all while playing a critical part in our multi-year global SAP S/4HANA migration initiative. Your contributions will directly enable our continued growth and leadership in delivering smart, sustainable water solutions worldwide. This posting is for one permanent, direct-hire position. External candidates can work remote, as long as you are within a reasonable driving distance of a Pentair facility. Along with this, 30% travel is required for go-lives and hyper-care to a Pentair facility.

You will:

• Partner with business stakeholders and SAP functional teams to analyze requirements and design, develop, and test robust SAP solutions supporting core GTS processes.
• Gather and prioritize business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Lead and support GTS related projects and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Perform hands on configuration, testing, and maintenance in GTS.
• Drive fit-gap analysis, solution design, and preparation of functional specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional workstreams to design seamless end‑to‑end processes and integrations.
• Lead or contribute to testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT coordination, defect resolution, and cutover planning.
• Create and maintain essential project documentation, including business requirements, functional/technical specifications, and test scripts.
• Influence GTS process strategy by recommending best practices and innovative solutions that align with enterprise goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and enhance user experience.
• Provide deep functional expertise and production support for GTS processes, including incident resolution and break-fix solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge‑sharing across the organization.

Key Qualifications:

• Have earned a bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Have 8+ years of professional experience in related fields, including a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience with GTS and SAP S/4HANA processes.
• Minimum 3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations, with direct involvement in GTS process design and deployment.
• Experience working in Agile environments and with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure, Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong knowledge of trade compliance, including preference management, sanction party screening, product classification, license controls, and integrations with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Proficient in configuration and testing of GTS and SAP S/4HANA modules.
• Experience developing functional specifications, test scripts, and process documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• SAP certification in GTS, S/4HANA, or related modules (preferred).

Compensation: For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
