Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Senior SAP Analyst - EWM to join our team in the Chicago area. You will report to the EWM Global Business Process Owner and serve as a subject matter expert for the EWM workstream, leading projects, conducting GAP analyses, and supporting a multi-year S/4HANA migration initiative.

The role involves hands-on configuration in S/4HANA, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and travel up to 30% for go-lives and hyper-care at Pentair facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in related fields, including 5+ years with SAP S/4HANA EWM processes.
• Minimum 3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations with EWM involvement.
• Experience in Agile environments and with Jira/ Scrum/ Kanban.
• Strong knowledge of EWM processes, integrations with SAP modules and external systems.
• Proficient in configuration and testing of SAP S/4HANA EWM modules.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Active SAP EWM Certification (S/4HANA) preferred.
• Travel 30% required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders and SAP teams to analyze requirements and design, develop, and test EWM/IM solutions.
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications and identify automation opportunities.
• Lead and support EWM-related projects and deliverables.
• Perform hands-on configuration in S/4HANA for inbound, outbound, delivery, cycle counting, and warehouse setup.
• Drive fit-gap analyses and prepare functional specifications.
• Collaborate across workstreams to design end-to-end processes and integrations.
• Lead or contribute to testing activities, including UAT and cutover planning.
• Create and maintain project documentation and test scripts.
• Influence EWM process strategy and best practices aligned with enterprise goals.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize system performance and user experience.
• Provide production support and break-fix solutions for EWM processes.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the organization.

We have an opportunity for a Senior SAP Analyst - EWM. You will report to the EWM Global Business Process Owner - Delivery SAP S/4HANA and serve as a subject matter expert for the EWM (Enterprise Warehouse Management) workstream. You will lead and support implementation projects, conduct GAP analyses, and provide ongoing project support, all while playing a critical part in our multi-year global SAP S/4HANA migration initiative. Your contributions will directly enable our continued growth and leadership in delivering smart, sustainable water solutions worldwide.

This posting is for one permanent, direct-hire position. External candidates can work remote, as long as you are within a reasonable driving distance of a Pentair facility. Along with this, 30% travel is required for go-lives and hyper-care to a Pentair facility.

You Will

• Partner with business stakeholders and SAP functional teams to analyze requirements and design, develop, and test robust SAP solutions supporting core EWM/IM processes.
• Gather and prioritize business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Lead and support EWM-related projects and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Perform hands-on configuration in S/4HANA for inbound, outbound, , delivery, cycle counting, warehouse set-up, and material movement internally/externally.
• Drive fit-gap analysis, solution design, and preparation of functional specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional workstreams to design seamless end-to-end processes and integrations.
• Lead or contribute to testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT coordination, defect resolution, and cutover planning.
• Create and maintain essential project documentation, including business requirements, functional/technical specifications, and test scripts.
• Influence EWM process strategy by recommending best practices and innovative solutions that align with enterprise goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and enhance user experience.
• Provide deep functional expertise and production support for EWM processes, including incident resolution and break-fix solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the organization.

Key Qualifications

• Have earned a bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Have 8+ years of professional experience in related fields, including a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM processes.
• Minimum 3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations, with direct involvement in EWM process design and deployment.
• Experience working in Agile environments and with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong knowledge of EWM processes and integrations with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Proficient in configuration and testing of SAP S/4HANA EWM modules.
• Experience developing functional specifications, test scripts, and process documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Active SAP EWM Certification (S/4HANA), or related modules (preferred).
• 30% travel is required.

Compensation

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82,300 - $152,800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
