Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP ABAP. The role involves analyzing business requirements, designing and developing SAP solutions, and supporting mission‑critical systems with minimal downtime. The candidate will collaborate closely with IT Operations, business stakeholders, and offshore teams to ensure the delivery of high‑quality SAP applications and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and design, develop, and deliver solutions in the SAP ecosystem.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities across onshore and offshore teams (Chennai & HQ).
• Develop and customize SAP ABAP applications in line with business needs.
• Develop and customize SAP FIORI applications in line with business needs.
• Design and implement ODATA services (CRUD operations, deep entity handling).
• Work with SAP ABAP on S/4 HANA, including CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, and ABAP Classes.
• Perform code reviews, bug fixes, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Optimize code performance and ensure adherence to bank coding and security standards.
• Prepare low‑level design documentation, unit testing plans, and technical specifications.
• Support solution architecture clearance from the Office of Information Security.
• Collaborate with business analysts and technical leads to convert business requirements into technical deliverables.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination between Chennai teams and HQ stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience as an SAP Developer with exposure to large‑scale enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise in:
  • SAP FIORI UI application development
  • ODATA services (CRUD, deep entity handling)
  • SAP ABAP on S/4 HANA – CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, ABAP Classes, debugging
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX concepts and SAP FIORI design guidelines.
• Hands‑on experience in analyzing user requirements, preparing technical specs, and delivering high‑quality solutions.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and documentation.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Experience (Nice‑to‑Have)

• Certifications in the related field.
• Experience working in Banking/Financial Services sector.
• Familiarity with SAP FM/RM, PS, MM, FI/CO, and workflow modules.
• Exposure to highly customized SAP platforms (e.g., STAR system for concessional finance, iLAP system for loans administration).
