Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a sanitation leader to drive sanitation programs across multiple facilities. You will manage a team of 30+ staff, partner with operations, quality, maintenance and engineering to improve performance, and lead investigations on contamination risks with root cause analysis.

You must have 5+ years in food manufacturing sanitation leadership, knowledge of FDA/USDA and HACCP, and be able to operate as a technical expert in sanitary design and process safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in biology, microbiology, chemistry, food science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in food manufacturing sanitation leadership.
• Knowledge of FDA/USDA, HACCP and related food regulations.
• Familiarity with sanitary design, environmental monitoring, pest management.
• Understand microbiology impacts on process design and product safety.
• Strong leadership, communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with metrics, trend analysis and data-driven problem solving.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• On-call availability for emergencies/off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead sanitation across four facilities, ensuring compliance with procedures and standards.
• Supervise 30+ sanitation staff; provide training and resource planning.
• Partner with operations, quality, maintenance, eng and external providers.
• Manage sanitation, environmental monitoring and pest programs; analyze trends.
• Lead investigations on contamination risks; use root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and maintain cost-effective sanitation programs and KPIs.
• Serve as technical expert for sanitary design on equipment and facilities.
• Validate cleaning methods and verification procedures for changes.
• Conduct internal audits and support regulatory inspections.
• Promote safety culture; ensure training and safety practices.
