Abakery, a bakery and food franchise in Commerce, CA, seeks a Senior R&D Specialist to develop new sandwiches and savory products, optimize recipes and costing for scalable factory production, lead quality control, and drive training across factory and store environments.

Reports to the R&D Senior Manager and collaborates with cross-functional teams to bring concepts from idea to market. Requires strong background in food science and manufacturing, with travel between facilities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or related field; practical experience ok.
• 5+ years in food R&D, ideally in sandwich, savory, or bakery categories.
• Experience in food manufacturing or industrial production environments.
• Proven track record in product development and commercialization.

Responsabilidades

• Research sandwich product trends and market releases.
• Develop new ingredients and innovative sandwich concepts.
• Optimize recipes and costing for factory production.
• Partner with bread team to develop savory menu items.
• Scale products for factory/industrial production with quality control.
• Refine and finalize products for production and market launch.
• Train QC teams on new sandwich and savory products.
• Manage production quality control and store quality standards.
• Create and maintain production and store manuals; document BOMs.
