Overview

Job Title: Senior SAN Storage and Infrastructure Specialist

Location: Des Moines Metro Area (Onsite as needed – No relocation)

Duration: 6 months - 1 year with possible extensions

Rate: $70-78 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SAN Storage systems (Pure, IBM, Dell, NetApp) for optimal performance.
• Manage SAN connectivity to mainframe environments and resolve integration issues.
• Administer VMware virtual environments and Windows servers.
• Perform Active Directory administration (user management, group policies, security).
• Execute system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting with minimal downtime.
• Maintain detailed documentation for system processes and improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in on-call rotations for patching and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in:
• SAN Storage administration (Pure, IBM, Dell, NetApp)
• SAN connectivity to mainframe environments
• VMware and Windows server administration
• Active Directory management
• System management processes, scripting languages, and utility programs
• Enterprise patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Strong documentation skills and ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Nice to have Skills
• Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), SAN vendor-specific certifications
• Experience with PowerShell scripting or other automation scripting languages
