You will review returns and data, draft memoranda, and stay current on state tax developments. The role supports collaboration across Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Treasury.

The position emphasizes independent work, strong communication skills, and supervisory responsibilities for staff or interns. A CPA and advanced tax credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 years of state sales/use tax consulting or 4 years total with 2 years at a large public accounting or tax firm.
• In-depth knowledge of state tax laws, rules, and regulations.
• Excellent research, analysis, and writing/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a Tax team and with Finance, Legal and Treasury.
• Experience supervising administrative personnel and interns.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and resolves technical state tax issues related to business development, planning and audits.
• Assists with complex state tax planning strategies to minimize tax burden.
• Reviews tax workpapers, schedules, returns, and payments for compliance.
• Researches complex state tax matters and prepares supporting memoranda.
