Job summary

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer / Full Stack Developer to support the next-generation CT-KIND platform and existing Salesforce apps. You will work across the SDLC to deliver scalable solutions and ensure system reliability.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in software development, 5+ years Salesforce experience, and strong Apex/OOP/design-pattern skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience – REQUIRED.
• Strong hands-on Apex development.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts in Apex.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience with Salesforce Lightning.
• Experience with Visualforce.
• Strong SOQL experience.
• Strong understanding of CRUD and application architecture.
• Experience with SQL and throughout the SDLC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, SOQL and Salesforce configuration.
• Apply strong OOP principles and design patterns in Apex.
• Support and enhance existing custom Salesforce applications.
• Participate in the design and development of the CT-KIND/CCWIS platform.
• Work across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solutions.
• Develop and support application integrations.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and production support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with the System Integrator and internal DCF technical teams.
• Participate in knowledge transfer and ongoing application maintenance.
• Independently drive assigned work from requirements through implementation.
