Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Domain Architect for the Salesforce ecosystem to own the architecture standards, roadmaps, and design review processes across Global Commercial Business Technology Services. The role oversees approximately 32 critical applications post-migration and serves as the primary architecture relationship owner for Salesforce.

Responsibilities include advancing program objectives, enforcing architecture compliance, and driving continuous improvement of frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 9 years of experience; or Master’s with 8 years; or PhD with 4 years.
• Progressive enterprise/solution architecture experience with Salesforce at enterprise scale.
• Deep Salesforce clouds experience (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Health Cloud, etc.).
• Experience with Salesforce release management and CI/CD deployments.
• Experience migrating CRM platforms and leading architecture governance.

Responsibilities

• Advise on Salesforce org strategy and connected-org questions; guide platform decisions across Clouds.
• Lead Domain Review Board reviews and enforce architecture compliance.
• Iterate reference architectures and deployment standards as Salesforce evolves.
• Own the Salesforce architecture workstream for large implementation programs, including design patterns and integration contracts.
• Publish and defend the multi-year Salesforce roadmap and org strategy.
• Mentor solutions architects and oversee integration seams to content platforms and enterprise data estate.
