Leidos is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer / Solution Architect to design, develop, and modernize enterprise Salesforce applications across CRM, case management, knowledge, and omnichannel engagement. You will code hands-on while guiding architecture and technical leadership within a federal-government‑focused program.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6+ years.
• 8+ years hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience as senior Salesforce developer, tech lead, or solution architect.
• Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud in enterprise contact centres.
• Experience supporting case management, omnichannel service operations.
• Federal government programmes or highly regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern web tech.

Leidos is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer / Solution Architect to join our enterprise application development team supporting mission‑critical federal government programs. This is an exciting opportunity to help design, develop, and modernize enterprise Salesforce applications supporting customer relationship management (CRM), high‑volume contact center operations, case management, knowledge management, omnichannel customer engagement, and digital self‑service solutions. We’re looking for a hands‑on technical expert — not just someone who designs solutions, but someone who builds them. In this role, you’ll combine advanced Salesforce development skills with solution architecture and technical leadership responsibilities. You’ll work alongside talented developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable Salesforce solutions that make a meaningful impact. This is primarily a hands‑on senior development position with architecture and technical leadership responsibilities.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, Develop & Architect Salesforce Solutions: Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and high‑performing Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flow, and Salesforce APIs. Lead technical design discussions and translate complex business requirements into effective Salesforce solutions. Develop custom applications, reusable components, workflows, and automation to improve functionality and user experience. Provide technical architecture guidance while remaining actively involved in coding, troubleshooting, testing, and deployments. Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and promote Salesforce development standards and best practices.
• Enhance Salesforce Service Cloud & Contact Center Capabilities: Develop, enhance, and support Salesforce Service Cloud solutions in a high‑volume enterprise contact centre environment. Design and optimise case management, service request workflows, automated routing, escalation processes, and agent productivity tools. Support omnichannel customer engagement across phone, email, chat, and digital service channels. Integrate Salesforce with contact centre technologies, customer self‑service portals, and knowledge management solutions. Collaborate with technical teams and contact centre stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and customer experience.
• Build Enterprise Integrations & Optimise Performance: Design, develop, and troubleshoot integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, Salesforce Platform Events, and event‑driven technologies. Support data migration, transformation, synchronization, and integration initiatives. Troubleshoot complex technical issues involving Salesforce, external systems, and contact centre applications. Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, data governance, and compliance.
• Collaborate, Deliver & Innovate: Work within an Agile development environment alongside product owners, developers, architects, and business stakeholders. Support application deployments, unit and integration testing, CI/CD processes, and production troubleshooting. Identify opportunities to improve Salesforce capabilities through automation, platform enhancements, and emerging technologies. Contribute to modernisation initiatives involving Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein AI, and intelligent customer service solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Education & Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or in a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered/accepted in lieu of a degree.
• 8+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience, including designing, developing, and implementing enterprise Salesforce solutions.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a senior Salesforce developer, technical lead, OR solution architect on complex enterprise projects.
• Hands‑on experience developing and supporting Salesforce Service Cloud solutions within an enterprise contact centre or customer service environment.
• Experience supporting case management, customer service workflows, and omnichannel service operations.
• Experience supporting federal government programmes OR similarly complex, highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Technical Skills & Expertise: Advanced hands‑on development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs. Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, automation, and platform best practices. Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Flow, Lightning App Builder, Platform Events, and Experience Cloud. Experience designing and troubleshooting integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integration patterns. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and modern web development technologies. Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile software development. Experience with AI‑powered Salesforce capabilities, including Agentforce, Einstein AI, Prompt Builder, chatbots, and intelligent service automation. Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise contact centre platforms such as Amazon Connect, NICE CXone, or comparable CCaaS technologies. Experience with Salesforce Knowledge, Experience Cloud, customer self‑service portals, and contact centre modernisation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, take ownership of complex technical solutions, and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Security Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Required Salesforce Certification: Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with any of the following experience or certifications are especially encouraged to apply: Experience with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration and middleware technologies. Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST, and federal security compliance requirements. Experience optimising Salesforce solutions to improve contact centre efficiency, customer experience, and agent productivity. Additional Salesforce certifications, such as: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist.

The anticipated program salary budget for this role is approximately $150,000 to the low‑to‑high $160,000 range, with limited flexibility based on qualifications and assessment (no guarantees). Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, responsibilities, internal equity, market data, and applicable requirements.

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
