Job summary

Shirley Parsons is recruiting a Senior Safety Manager for a marquee construction project in Rochester, MN. You will lead the project safety program on-site and champion a strong safety culture across the team.

The role requires 5–7 years in major construction safety, CSP/ASP preferred, a Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety or related field, and excellent communication with stakeholders; relocation assistance or per diem is available for non-local candidates, with daily travel to the job-site.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years proven experience managing safety on major construction projects.
• CSP, ASP or similar BCSP certification preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Quality or related discipline preferred
• Strong communicator able to engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Based near Rochester, MN and willing to travel daily to job site

Responsibilities

• Undertake site inspections, accident investigations and audits and implement corrective actions to improve safety program and culture
• Collaborate with Regional Safety Director to highlight safety metrics and trends for senior leadership
• Lead and mentor a team of safety professionals on the project
• Conduct new hire orientation and training programs in compliance with OSHA requirements
• Engage with operations leadership, site teams, subcontractors and client on safety matters, acting as SME for safety issues
