Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator for a project in Shippingport, PA. This full-time, in-person role leads safety execution for major scopes, mentors junior safety staff, and acts as a key safety leader within the project team.

You will focus on leadership, coaching, and consistent program delivery across complex operations, overseeing incident investigations and safety meetings, and serving as the main safety contact for leadership and partners.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 preferred.
• BCSP certification (ASP, CSP, or CHST preferred).
• Competent Person training (e.g., cranes, rigging, NFPA 70E).
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts for major scopes, trades, or phases of work.
• Review and approve critical JHAs and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Mentor and develop Assistant and Safety Coordinators.
• Serve as a primary safety contact for project leadership, trade partners, and clients.
• Facilitate safety meetings, training, and key project safety initiatives.
• Drive a proactive safety culture through coaching, accountability, and engagement.

About the Role

The Senior Safety Coordinator leads safety execution for major project scopes, mentors junior safety staff, and serves as a key safety leader within the project team.
