Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Sr. Route/Switch Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise routing and switching infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations. An active TS/SCI clearance is required and position is onsite at Fort Meade, five days a week.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support large-scale routing and switching environments.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches.
Analyze and resolve complex network connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
Develop network automation scripts with Python to improve efficiency.
Use GitHub for version control and collaboration on automation projects.
Support network modernization, infrastructure upgrades, and tech refreshes.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and operations teams for secure services.
Create and maintain network diagrams, standards, and SOPs.
