Job summary

CertaSite is hiring a route sales & service II technician in the United States (Delaware area) to inspect, test, service and repair fire extinguishers, exit/emergency lights, and hood suppression systems. You will assess site conditions, troubleshoot issues, document findings, and uphold safety standards while building strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in route sales and service within fire life safety, with basic math skills and solid computer literacy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in route sales and service in fire life safety (extinguishers, e-lights, hood systems).
• Restaurant fire suppression system design/installation preferred.
• Basic math: fractions, decimals, percentages.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, iOS, Android, Outlook; learn industry devices/software.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, service, and repairs on extinguishers, exit lights, and hood systems as required by standards and codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair fire safety equipment and systems.
• Record and document inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations.
• Maintain positive relationship with customers and coordinate follow-up.
• Keep vehicle clean and stocked with parts and tools for jobs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation of tools.
• Identify opportunities for additional equipment or services at customer sites.
• Work in alignment with the company's safety program.
• Discuss deficiencies with customers and explain resolutions.
• Occasionally work nights, weekends, and holidays; heights and ladders may be involved.
• Must be comfortable with heights, ladders, lifts, and confined spaces.
