Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator for a large Southeast commercial roofing contractor in Florida. The role focuses on commercial reroof projects, maintenance programs, leak remediation, and waterproofing scopes, with high visibility and opportunity to influence day one.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple bids, and collaborate with operations, service teams, and leadership to deliver accurate estimates and solid value for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience.
• Experience with reroofing, service, maintenance, and waterproofing projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with Edge estimating software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial reroofing projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, site reports, and customer requirements.
• Perform detailed takeoffs and labor/material calculations.
• Utilize Edge estimating software and Excel to develop pricing and proposal packages.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, manufacturers, and internal operations teams.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and customer meetings as needed.
• Evaluate project risks, logistics, access requirements, and scheduling impacts.
• Assist in scope development and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and manufacturer representatives.
• Support handoff meetings with project management and operations after award.
