Job summary

RTX seeks a Solid Rocket Motor Production Program Manager for the Shipboard Missiles Program Office. You will influence cost, schedule, and quality for solid rocket motor production at a supplier, building executive-level relationships to drive business results that impact the portfolio’s financial performance.

This role is located remote with up to 50% travel. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, quality and procurement, develop supplier strategies, and support forecasting,

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience.
• An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• Prior Program/Project management experience.
• Knowledge of rocket motor production processes.
• Experience with FAR, DFAR.
• Experience with EV and EAC processes.
• Experience with Statements of Work (SOW).
• Experience as a member of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed program objectives including supplier financial, technical, quality, and schedule performance.
• Influence a cross functional team of engineers, quality, and procurement professionals.
• Build relationships with supplier executives to improve performance and alignment.
• Support financial planning activities including forecasting, AOP, and EAC.
• Lead the supplier risk mitigation and opportunity capture process.
• Develop and implement a supplier strategy addressing current execution and future business.
