Qualifications

• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans and test procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in robotics, mechanical or mechatronics engineering or related field.
• SolidWorks CAD experience and understanding of part design, complex assemblies and configuration management.
• Hands-on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Strong understanding of hardware development principles and product design.

Responsibilities

• Guide an interdisciplinary team from concept to production, including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing.
• Design and integrate electromechanical hardware solutions for complex problems with evolving requirements.
• Create detailed design specifications, 3D models and schematics for mechatronic systems.
• Develop and debug embedded systems, sensors and automation controllers for reliable performance.
• Conduct simulation, testing and validation against performance and safety standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement actions to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality for smooth launches.
• Manage vendor relationships and supply chain for production timelines.
• Write V&V plans and test procedures to ensure engineering rigor.
• Drive design for manufacturability in high-volume production environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and exemplify rigorous engineering practices.
